Fixed Proportion in Spread Betting
It’s not a fixed proportion in Financial spread betting, it’s about what fits into what trading style you’re using and what trading style is best suited to that point in time in the market.
John: Okay. Thank You. The last question is a bets, why does the FTSE follow the DOW in the afternoon? I don’t think it does follow the DOW. My view is that there is a global trend and that all markets follow that trend. In fact, what often happens is that DOW, traders in Financial spread betting on the DOW look at the other markets like FTSE when they open and they will see what that’s done and then the will react accordingly. Similarly, FTSE traders will look at what’s happened over night in Japan, Japan will look at what happened over night in Tokyo and all these markets are coordinating to an extent, especially with the high speed communication.
